Guest Post: Fall Boot-y Call

Photobucket

A couple of weeks ago Tanvi, the sassy and über stylish writer of The Fabulous Life of Not-So-Rich and Infamous, approached me about doing a guest post for her blog.  After a quick brainstorming session we decided on the topic: boots!  (A little conspicuous consumption never killed anyone, right?).  Click on the image above to check it out.  Thank you, Tanvi, for such an honor!

That guest post was probably the hardest post I have ever had to write.  You have no idea of the emotional turmoil it caused both myself and Tanvi. OK, so maybe it wasn't the post that caused the turmoil.  Maybe it was blogger...

Wow, really?! Gosh, I feel like everyone has been talking about Wordpress over Blogger lately. I've never had problems with Blogger at all. I don't deal with the wonky "Compose" tab, I just do my own formatting in HTML and it always works out fine (at least on my end). I'm sorry it made for such a bad experience, though! I'll definitely be checking out your guest blog asap. (:

Great guest post! I'm visiting from Tanvi's blog. I hope Wordpress will be a better host for your blog too.

For the most part blogger is OK, it's just when I try to do captions or sometimes some strange spacing that it gives me problems. I'm not familiar enough with HTML yet that I can just whip it out! I have been playing on wordpress on a "test blog" I set up and so far I really like it. Just need to figure out a time to make the switch.

Hello.. even though I have already commented on some other posts of yours, thought I should comment here because I found you through Tanvi (I LOVE her!!).

I'm glad I found you! Oooh I haven't had any problems with blogger [touch wood, knocks head :) ] but I too use the HTML option. I don't have problems with the Compose tab... you just need to 'clean it up' in HTML. As long as I don't lose your link you can anywhere you want!!

Hello! Thanks so much for all of your comments. I agree - I LOVE Tanvi as well! LOL

I know how to do some basic HTML work, but whenever I have tried to do something a bit more complicated in blogger, it just doesn't cooperate with me. It could totally be user-error, but it's definitely not a match made in heaven! The blog address is going to stay the same (beautifully-invisible.com) but i will be moving shortly :) Thanks so much for following!

Hey There! I have been wanting to switch over to Wordpress too, but I am scared that I will lose all my followers. Have you found a way to prevent this from happening?

Ohh, that's understandable. When I first started on Blogger I used the Compose tab and it didn't last for more than a few days. I figured there was some sort of method to it that I wasn't getting. HTML is easy to remember the more you use it, I think. I used to create websites from scratch as a hobby so the basic image codes are pretty well cemented into the old noggin. (:
